Layered Soap Making Kit
The Layered Soap Making Kit empowers you to make unique handcrafted soaps. The melt-and-pour soap making method is easy to follow and improve upon. This craft kit includes a high-quality white shea butter base soap, a reusable silicone mold, and soap-cutting tools. Additionally, the kit has dyes, dried florals, and scents to enhance the quality of your soaps. Crafters will need a microwave, a knife, a cutting board, and wax paper.
This project takes about 1 hour to complete. Please note that melting and setting take time, but typically, each layer takes about 10 minutes to set. The final product needs 2 hours to set before bars can be cut. This project makes a 2x10 “loaf” which is cut into 10 bars. Because the soap creates multiple bars, it’s a great project to make and share with a friend!

Now this kit I loved! I did it with a friend and it was fun and easy. However, of the two kits I've done from this company, I'm seeing a pattern emerge: important timing notes were missing from this kit as well as the resin-tray kit. There wad no indication of how long the soap had to set or cure. I had to look it up. Google said that melt-and-pour soap should set up in about 24 hours, but I let it set-up for 36 hours just to be safe. It also gave no un-molding directions, so I just pulled the silicone mold away from all 4 sides of the soap and it came out pretty easily. I recommend trying this kit!
I love how these kits come with Everything you need! It even came with the blade to cut the soap all fancy. This was easy to use, and I'll be making more soap for gifts in the future.

I LOVE this kit. It smells amazing, and instead of the flowers I scraped the side of the melting container in between layers and chopped up the soap like confetti. The step by step process on the paper included in the box is so detailed and easy to follow. It has everything needed to make one thing (brick, block,?) of soap. Basically it fills the mold once. I'm ready to get more supplies and make more soap! It turned out great and I really enjoyed it.
